RAF Visitor

Year 6 were lucky to have a visitor to school to talk about life in the RAF. Corporal Galvin visited school to share his experiences as an RAF engineer. He talked to the children about the different places he had visited and the important role the RAF plays in peacekeeping, nullifying threats and also giving aid to other countries. The children were able to handle real artefacts including his service beret and the pin from a missile. They were able to ask questions about what life was like and the skills needed to serve in the RAF. It was a highly interesting start to their new topic and has got the children eager to learn more.
