The Little Red Hen

This week the children have been reading the well known traditional tale ‘The Little Red Hen’.  The children have enjoyed exploring the characters’ thoughts and feelings in the book.  They have also learnt how bread is made and made their own bread rolls.  During an outdoor learning session, the children went to visit the school chickens.  We found out what they like to eat, observed how they behave and even found some eggs that they had laid.
