World Book Day – A Whole School Celebration

World Book Day is an important day in the school calendar as it is a day to celebrate reading and a love of books. It was amazing to see the effort that the children had all gone to (with some help from their parents I’m sure) to come into school wearing such fantastic costumes. The teachers also joined in with the fun with Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 staff dressing from the book ‘Aliens Love Underpants’ and the KS2 staff dressing as the convicts from ‘Holes’ with Mr Malik being the sunflower eating Mr Sir.  Look out for more posts to see what each year group have been doing during the day. The children will also all bring home a World Book Day voucher which can be exchanged for a book in most supermarkets and book shops.
