Reception have had a very busy first week back after the Christmas holidays.
The children have started their Spring topic ‘Journeys’ by learning about New Year. They have discussed what a resolution is and learnt that it is a promise we make to ourselves to achieve a goal, such as learning to ride a bike or zipping a coat up. In the classroom, they looked at different fireworks, dancing and creating their own shapes using the colourful fabric. The children have also been exploring their own interest by building different models in the block area, creating sculptures in the sand as well as using their imagination to create role play games alongside friends.
