Over the the first half of the spring term, the Year 6 tennis club were absolutely fantastic in their attitude and application towards developing their tennis skills.
As a result of the team’s focus and listening skills, they have all developed an understanding of the game, how to hit forehands and backhands, and the need to move around the court to get into a position to return the ball. Towards the end of the sessions, there was a chance to practice serving and volleying in order to add to our repertoire. The club were helped by having a member who plays at a club level as this allowed everyone to watch his expertise through excellent form and technique, far superior to Mr Malik’s!
It was an excellent first block of sessions and sets us up well for taking part in the competition this summer after another block of sessions that we be implemented just before we compete.
