This week, we have been reading the story Leaf Man. The children thoroughly enjoyed going on an Autumn walk around our Forest School area, where they looked for signs of the season and explored the changes happening in the natural environment. We discovered lots of brown, yellow and red leaves and discussed how trees change during Autumn. The children learned that, as the weather becomes cooler and the days get shorter, many trees shed their leaves, which fall to the ground. We also enjoyed collecting leaves and talking about the different colours, shapes and textures we found.
