Birthday Week in Nursery!

This week, we have been learning all about birthdays! We read Kipper's Birthday and talked about how old we are and all the exciting things we can do. We created our own birthday crowns, which we will get to wear on the special day we turn 4 in nursery. We carefully followed instructions to bake our very own vanilla cupcakes and enjoyed learning about the different steps involved. Once they had cooled down, we enjoyed decorating them with icing and toppings. We have also enjoyed role-playing birthday parties in the home corner. The children had great fun writing invitations, birthday cards and party lists.

Outside, we have enjoyed playing on the scooters, where we learned the importance of sharing and taking turns with our friends.
