Count, play and learn!

This term we are focusing on learning how to count and learn numbers up to 10.  We have been playing lots of maths games to help develop our counting skills.

Firstly, with a partner we played a dinosaur counting game.  The first person picked up a small handful of toy dinosaurs and placed them on a whiteboard.  The second person rearranged the dinosaurs into a line and counted them.

Next, we played a roll and count dice game.  The children had to roll a dice and then represent that number by drawing counters on a tens frame.

We had so much fun learning to cooperate with a friend, follow rules of a game and also leaning how to count.  Well done everybody!
