Digital Painting
This week, our talented Year 1 children have been stepping into the shoes of the famous artist Piet Mondrian. Using the digital art tools on Purple Mash, they have created their very own striking geometric masterpieces.
To bring their artwork to life, the children had to explore a whole digital toolbox. They worked hard to master several different skills, including:
- The Square Tool to draw the bold, black shapes just like Mondrian.
- The Line Tool to create straight, crisp borders.
- The Fill Tool to flood their shapes with bright primary colours.
- The Eraser and Undo buttons to fix any little mistakes and perfect their designs.
We are incredibly proud of how resilient the children were while learning these new computer skills. Their final pieces are full of colour and look absolutely fantastic!
