Forest School Litter Pick
Linking to their work in their PSHE lessons in which the children have been learning about community responsibility, Year 2 took part in a litter pick in our Forest School and around our school site.
They were surprised at the amount of rubbish they found and were very thorough, picking up the smallest pieces using their litter pickers. This made the site look spick and span for our School Fayre which took place the following day. After the pick we discussed why leaving litter is so harmful to our environment and the negative impact it can have in our communities, not just to our own health but all the living things around us.
