Harvest Festival!
This week, we have been learning all about Harvest!
We read The Little Red Hen and enjoyed discussing what harvest means and why it is important. The children explored where our food comes from and learned about a variety of vegetables that are harvested, including carrots, potatoes and sweetcorn.
As part of our learning, the children had great fun making their own hedgehog bread. They carefully kneaded, shaped and decorated the dough, and were very proud of their creations. We also enjoyed playing a scarecrow matching game, which helped the children to practise taking turns, sharing and listening carefully to their friends.
