Life of St Bernadette
✨ Year 4 Explore the Life of St Bernadette ✨
As part of RE, Year 4 have been learning all about St Bernadette Soubirous and her connection to the famous pilgrimage site of Lourdes in France.
The children created their own fact files about St Bernadette, discovering more about her life, her faith and the events that took place at Lourdes. They learned about the visions Bernadette reported of the Virgin Mary, and how Lourdes became an important place of pilgrimage for Catholics around the world.
We also explored the story of the miracles associated with Lourdes, including how some pilgrims have reported remarkable healings. The children discussed the importance of faith and prayer for Christians.
Year 4 produced some fantastic fact files and really enjoyed learning about the miracles.
