Perfecting our place value
The children have been working hard with their place value skills. We have revisited what the boys and girls already knew from Year 1 and Year 2, then moved onto hundreds, tens and ones.
The children have used part whole models confidently and they have also used lots of different manipulatives (counters, dienes and numbers) to show their understanding.
We have been impressed with the children's understanding. What has been even more fantastic is the way the children can explain their reasoning - this is something that they sometimes find hard, but the boys and girls have been amazing with this, especially this week.
