Rivers Art
This week, Year 5 have started their new Art topic, focusing on batik!
Before designing their own batik pieces (next week), the children explored different ways to deconstruct materials using techniques such as cutting, ripping, tearing and curling. Once they had collected and prepared their materials, they used them to construct an artwork inspired by an aerial view of a river landscape.
It was fantastic to see the children's creativity come to life as they interpreted the task in their own unique ways. Some children created landscapes featuring trees, mountains and hills, while others experimented with different materials and textures to bring their designs to life.
