Year 1’s Great British Geography Adventure!

Year 1 have been busy exploring the United Kingdom in Geography!  We learnt about the four countries that make up the UK and discovered the seas that surround us. We also created our own Union Jack flags and explored capital cities, with a special focus on London.

We looked at famous landmarks in both Gateshead and London, comparing the places we know with those in our capital city. We learnt about Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower bridge and The London Eye.

To show what we had learnt, we drew some fantastic landmarks from both locations. We have loved discovering more about our country and the amazing places within it!
