BOOK LAUNCH: I AM HENRY FINCH

In English this week, we began our new book: I AM HENRY FINCH. We read the first few pages which talks about how noisy it is being a finch. The fist time we read the story we had lots of ‘background noise’ so we understood how the finches felt (it was far too noisy to think!). One day Henry Finch wakes up in the middle of the night and it is silent (this is the first time he had ever experienced silence!). During this quiet time, Henry Finch has his first ever thought! The children then acted out the story up to the moment Henry Finch has his first thought. It was lovely to see the children interpret the characters thoughts and feelings.
