Year 2 were given a challenge this week that helped them to demonstrate their understanding of mathematical vocabulary referring to size, scale and comparison. A lovely fast paced activity for a cold, soggy day.
Article 13 – We all have a right to say what we think and be listened to.
- Sit on something bigger than a bicycle.
- Find something bigger than a car.
- Stand next to something shorter than you.
- Put something small in a bucket.
- Put the smallest thing you can in your pocket.
- Do a silly dance around something bigger than a car.
- Put 3 small things in a row.
- Marking measurements on a tree.
- Make 6 things the same size…..yummy muddy dumplings.
- Put a range of sticks in size order.
- Touch something large to something small.
- Hug something bigger than you.
- Phew a bit of rest after all that hard work.
