Year six are experienced hands in our Forest School. They are putting those skills into practice now, planning and executing their own ideas. It is fantastic to see how much they have developed their confidence over the years. They are working with independence, focus and creativity.
- Taking advantage of the damp ground the children tried to make a willow dome tent.
- After a great deal of perseverance they created a basic frame.
- Despite some rather complicated instructions, the children maintained focus, to build our new wheelbarrow.
- Scaling up a fairy swing proved quite difficult, but they did create a frame, next task to try and prevent sideways movement and strengthen the fastenings.
- Working together to make a birdhouse.
- Preparing sharpened sticks for Fairy houses.
- Planting some saplings and ferns. Once the roots have taken and the plants start to thrive we can plant them out around our site.
