Today, 24 of our amazing Athletes competed in an athletics festival at Gateshead International Stadium. The children competed against 48 other schools in a range of track and field events. We had some fantastic results as well as the children showing maturity and skill in their events! We had an amazing 9 individuals or teams win their heat, progressing into the semifinals! We then had two sprinters make it into the Finals of their events. Amazingly, our two Year 4 sprinters placed 2nd and 4th in the 50m and 60m races-congratulations girls! We also had an incredible Year 6 thrower (who almost beat the record!) who threw a fantastic 31m to place first and win the Gold medal!
All the children who participated should be very proud of themselves and the hard work they put in today! Well done Harlow Green Athletes!
