The children in Reception have been very lucky and have been chosen to visit Southernwood Residential Home with Little Movers. The children will go in small groups for series of visits to the home to take part in some inter generational classes. This will take place over the next few weeks. We went on our first visit to Southernwood this week which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The first small group loved being able to show off their dancing and enjoyed getting the residents to participate. We worked on our co-ordination skills and our gross motor skills by throwing and beanbags and showing off our dancing. There was lots of excitement for all involved and we had a really successful trip. The residents thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are looking forward to our return.
