I would like to thank all parents and carers who have listened to the national advice and have kept their children at home from today. This has reduced the numbers of children accessing school to a manageable amount and ensured that, in the main, we are now supporting Key Workers of front line services who are need to support and protect us all. This will help to reduce the spread of COVID-19, reduce the pressure on the NHS and, ultimately, save lives.
Staff have been working hard to ensure the children feel safe and happy whilst here on a very strange day for everyone through their personal interactions and the types of activity they have organised.
We are currently finalising our staff rota in order to manage the next two weeks in an orderly but safe manner. Our aim is to create consistency for the staff as well as the children.
It is essential that all parents /carers who identify as being a Key Worker complete the ‘Key Worker Request’ form today and hand it in to school the next time the children are brought into school.
This action is necessary in order to provide accurate information regarding which days school is to be accessed by children as well as identify the roles parents/carers have within the definitions.
Again, thank you for all your support during this. Your kind words through a wide range of messages have been wonderful and reminds us that our work is appreciated in this fight.
Take care,
Mr M. Malik
