We have come to the end of another busy week of home learning in Year One. We hope you all have a fun day celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day with your families.
Thank you for completing this week’s writing activity – Jack and the Beanstalk. Your teachers have been so impressed with your work and can see that you have tried very hard to use capital letters and full stops in your sentences. Well done Year One! On Monday, we will be giving you another writing activity to complete so have your pencils and paper at the ready.
As always, the children in Year One have been very busy at home. They have been painting, baking, singing and exploring the outdoors. Some children have started to make a time capsule, which they can look back at in the future to remember all the wonderful things they did at home. Also, we are so pleased that so many of you are continuing to complete activities on Mathletics and Lexia. Keep it up!
This week, your teachers have been very busy too. Miss Norman has been putting her baking skills to the test and has attempted to make banana bread for the first time. She thought it was delicious! Mrs Hopkins has been playing cricket with her family and has baked some scrumptious cinnamon buns. Your teachers have even sent in some pictures for you to have a look at. What do you think? Mrs Lewis has been preparing for VE Day by hanging bunting. She has also hung a very colourful decoration to show her support for the NHS. Can you spot it in the photos below?
We have thoroughly enjoyed reading your writing activities and always look forward to seeing your photos. Remember, you can send your work and photos to [email protected].
The weather is beautiful today so, if you can, try to spend some time outdoors.
Remember to stay safe and keep smiling. Missing you all!
