Well, we can’t believe it’s July already! How time has flown recently. We hope you have all had another great week at home staying safe, having fun with your families and enjoying your home learning activities.
Thanks again for sending us your messages and photos from home – as usual, you have all been very busy and working hard. Well done for the excellent maths work you have completed on place value, and the beautiful illustrations and sentences you have written about your favourite animal. Despite the dreary weather this week, many of you have continued to enjoy activities outdoors, such as den building, trampolining, kite flying, fishing and paddling in a stream. You are also still producing some amazing independent creations – we have some budding artists and even a seamstress amongst us!
The children in school have also been enjoying many of the topic activities that you have been doing at home. They had great fun making The Angel of the North out of art straws. Everyone was so proud of their finished piece of art. We have also been learning about the life of local heroine Grace Darling. The children were fascinated by her everyday life in a lighthouse and could not believe how brave she was.
We all hope that you continue to stay safe, have lots of fun and enjoy your home learning. Please keep sending us your messages and pictures – it means a lot to us!
