This week, we were excited to welcome back all of Year 2! For some of you, it’s been quite a long time since you were in school and for others its been 7 weeks, but you have settled in wonderfully and are beginning to show us your unique personalities.
We have been learning about the four seasons of the year and how some trees change through the year. We made a beautiful collage using tissue paper to represent the different coloured leaves.
This year, you will all be turning 7 so we have made birthday cards to help you celebrate your special day.
We are a rights respecting school and in year 2 we aim to be ‘Rights Respecting Heroes’. To celebrate this, we have turned ourselves into superheroes ready for any challenge this year may throw at us.
We met some very special critters this week and they like to live in a respectful classroom. We will visit the children to see how hard they are working and stay with them while they concentrate on their work. The children thoroughly enjoyed creating their own critter and can’t wait to see them again on Monday.
Our class story this term is ‘Fortunately, The Milk’. We have met lots of interesting characters, including ‘globby aliens’ and some pesky pirates. We are looking forward to finding out what happens next.
The children received 10 spellings to learn and next Friday we will be quizzing to see how many you remember!
