Marvellous Me

This week in Reception, we have started to talk about our topic for this term, ‘Marvellous Me’.  The children have been keen to tell their friends about themselves and they have really been getting to know each other.  In our creative area, we have been painting self portraits.  We talked about facial features and looked at our own faces in mirrors.  The children then learnt to mix their own powder paint colours to paint their hair and skin.  Once they had dried they had fun drawing on their facial features using oil pastels.  Take a look at the fantastic portrait gallery below.
