This week at Nursery we have been talking about ourselves, things we like and don’t like, also our favourite toys. The children loved sharing their photos from their home learning about things they love to do at home.
We have also been looking at feelings this week, our main story has been ‘The Colour Monster’. The children loved talking about the emotion colour jars and acting out how the monster was feeling. We then discussed why we feel like this, and when.
The children have also enjoyed the story ‘Paper Dolls’ this week, and we made our own paper dolls, looking at ourselves in the mirror, talking about our facial features and how we are all different.
We have also had a big focus on washing hands, and how to do it the correct way. They now know the washing hands song, which they may be able to teach you it at home! They now know that this is a big part of their daily routine and enjoy doing it.
