In Year 2, we have been learning about staying safe online. One way we have learnt to stay safe is to use an avatar instead of a photo of ourselves. This keeps us safe as it means we are not identifiable as ourselves online. We also discussed that this means that we cannot identify other people online either, meaning it is extremely important that we do not share any personal details about ourselves with anyone online, including our full name, where we live or where we go to school. The children enjoyed trying to guess whose avatar belongs to different children in the class (and we found out just how hard this was!).
