This week, Year 6 have been intrigued by their new English book ‘Varmints.’ Often, people feel that picture books are for younger children, but this is definitely not the case. There is so much inference that can be gained from this book and the children have enjoyed making predictions about the characters and the plot. They started the week by watching a book trailer, which immediately got them immersed in the story. Click on the link below if you want to see it for yourself.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed being back together and, whilst there may be some tired bodies by the end of the week, it has been lovely to see the class full of smiling faces again.
