This week, both in school and at home, the children have been participating in lots of Easter activities. We have been so impressed with the children’s eggs-squicite Easter eggs, egg-cellent Easter bonnets and egg-stravagent Easter drawings, which they have made as part of their Home Learning this week.
The children in Year 2 have also enjoyed making an egg-ceptional Easter hanging. They thoroughly enjoyed transforming themselves into fluffy Easter bunnies using their own faces, cotton wool and lots of glue!
In RE, we have been learning all about Lent and the Christian lead up to Easter. The children have created storyboards of the Christian story ‘Temptation of Jesus’, which tells the story of Jesus spending 40 days and 40 nights in the desert being tempted by the devil. Jesus resisted all temptations and this is why Christians celebrate Lent and often give something up for 40 days (until Easter!).
We hope everyone has an egg-citing Easter holiday and we are already looking forward to seeing the children back in school on the 19th April.
