It has been great to have all of our children back in class over the last four weeks, and they have settled back into the school routine brilliantly! They are however, ready for a well-earned Easter holiday where they can now enjoy spending time with more of their family and friends. This week in school, year four have enjoyed preparing for Easter by making cards for their families. We have got through a LOT of tissue paper and glue, but the cards look ‘egg’cellent! The children have watched an Easter assembly by Reverend Mark and learnt about the significant events of Holy Week in RE. They represented the main events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, by drawing a picture for each day within an outline of a crucifix. For homework this week, the children were set the task of creating some Easter crafts. We have received so many photos of their fantastic creations, including baking, decorated eggs and pictures. We even had an appearance by a real-life Easter bunny! Thank you very much for your imagination and hard work. From all of us in year four, we hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday and look forward to seeing the children again for the summer term.
