This week we have been learning about why recycling is important and how we can recycle. In technology, the children enjoyed using the magnets and metal detectors to sort rubbish into magnetic and non-magnetic items. We looked at a non-fiction book called ‘I Am Not A Box’ and then used some of the ideas to make our own junk models. In literacy this week, we read ‘The Paper Bag Princess’ and thought of words to describe both her and the prince. We then made our own princes and princesses and wrote adjectives on them. We also thought about recycled fashion and the children created their own outfits for peg dolls. Take a look at the photos of our busy week.
