Today, our Year 6 children have enjoyed their graduation ceremony. It felt a little strange without the parents being there to share the occasion, but the children have enjoyed themselves and understood the importance and significance of the occasion. Throughout their time in school, all of the teachers have talked about what a pleasure the children have been. they have worked extremely hard and as a school we are extremely proud of them!
We’d like to share a short section of a poem that really applies to this group of incredible children:
We’re in a time in history
That will be on the shelves:
A tale to tell the grandchildren
That’s greater than ourselves.
A spell when you were children
And you had to leave your friends
To keep all your loved ones safe
And bring this to an end.
They’ll look at you like heroes –
The sort I know you are
You’re warriors; you’re brave
Young knights;
You’re bright and dazzling stars.
And, though we have to part now,
In a social distance haze,
We still have all the memories
Of countless fun school days.
Good luck Year 6. Go forward and shine.
