We have had a fantastic festive week in Reception! We kicked off our festivities with our school Christmas lunch on Tuesday. We tried all the different parts of the dinner even if we weren’t sure we would like it. The children thought it was delicious! They loved pulling crackers with their friends and laughing at the jokes they each had (some of them were very silly!) We ended our super Christmassy week with our Reception class party in the hall. We made party hats to wear to our party which the children loved wearing. The children enjoyed completing different party games (corners, musical statues and bumps, best dancer and pass the parcel) and having party food with their friends. We also watched a virtual pantomime called ‘Santa Saves Christmas’ which the children LOVED! The children had an exciting visitor to our classroom – SANTA! The children enjoyed asking Santa questions and telling him all about what they would like for Christmas. We were all very lucky to receive a gift from Santa for all being on the good list.
