The teachers have been amazed this week by the children’s fantastic weaving skills. The week started by researching woven tablemats as the final product will be a woven animal placemat. Then we went outside and had a go at weaving strips of fabric along the MUGA fence. They learnt to go in and out and in and out. The next stage was to have a go at weaving felt. This was really difficult but everyone persevered to improve their weaving skills. After this, the children chose an animal design for their placemat and added their own colours and features. Today we started weaving the final product. It has been hard but everyone is proud of what they have achieved. We can’t wait to finish them off.
