The digital programmes that the children have access to are incredibly important in developing reading fluency and comprehension skills. Studies show that those children who use them regularly, will make accelerated progress. It is excellent to see the vast majority of children engaging with these programmes at home as well as at school. It is part of the children’s weekly homework and it is important that this is completed.
Over the past three weeks, including the half-term, there have been some classes that have excelled – with some comprehension scores exceeding 85%
This week’s winning classes are both in Upper Key Stage 2.
Accelerated Reader – Year 5A with a score of 86.3%
Reading Plus – Year 6A with a score of 76.4%
