Rain didn’t stop play for Year 6. The flash challenge to flip a tarp without stepping off. Very funny, very soggy, sometimes frustrating but ultimately very rewarding. The children put themselves into teams, the girls team romped to victory in minutes, clear leadership and a collaborative team made the task easy. The boys team came next, they had a round tarp which may have made things easier but they still took about 10 minutes. The mixed team had some issues. Some of the children had very clear ideas but getting the rest of the team to listen and to instruct precisely is harder than it looks. After a number of resets they finally achieved the flip. What a relief, they were rewarded with free play in the woods.
