Today the Rights Respecting officers, from each year group, had their final meeting of this academic year! They reflected on the last two years, considering the differences they have made in ensuring all children have access to their rights both in school as well as across the wider community. The Officers talked of their successful fundraising events in the form of Children in Need and Comic Relief, remembered the vast amount of donations received for Gateshead Foodbank as part of our Harvest Festival, thought about the campaigns that they have pledged such as reducing the speed outside of school and ensuring our environment is clean by litter picking.
The Officers wished our year 6 children good luck for their new school adventures, where they have agreed to continue promoting Children’s Rights during their time at secondary school.
