As part of our Marvellous Me topic, we have been looking at our families. We talked about how all of our families are set up differently, making us all unique and different. We learnt that it doesn’t matter if you have a different family to someone else, or if you have two homes or if you don’t have brothers and sisters because our family is what makes us, us! The children enjoyed sharing their photos of their families from Tapestry and talking about them with their friends. We spent time making our own special photo frames to add out family pictures to so that we could take them home and display them. We also worked hard to practice our pencil grip to draw a picture of our families in Literacy. Our teachers challenged us to use our phonics knowledge to write some of our families names such as; mam, dad, our siblings names, pets and our own.
