On Thursday and Friday the children listened to a story called ‘Sparks in the Sky’, which led to the children learning about firework safety and creating firework pictures. The children also thoroughly enjoyed making their own chocolate sparklers by dipping chocolate fingers into the icing sugar and adding sprinkles. During our forest school session, the children collected red, yellow, brown and orange leaves and sticks to make a pretend bonfire. In PE the children worked together to get the bean bags to bounce on the parachute. They pretended the bean bags were fireworks and the parachute was the bonfire. Some children also practised their mark making on Miss Bloomfield’s whiteboard and in the glitter tray.
