Today we were lucky enough to have visitors from Costain who came in to talk to the children about the ongoing improvements being made to the A1 and how it has impacted on wildlife. Our visitors were called Mark and Emma and first of all they talked about the importance of roads and what we use them for. They also discussed how some plants and trees were being uprooted to make way for the new roads. The children looked at how new trees and plants were being planted to create new habitats for wildlife. The children enjoyed going outside to collect leaves and twigs to make a bug hotel. Next week in forest school the children will be putting their new bug hotels around our school grounds.
