The end of term is finally upon us after what has been a long but positive start to the year.
Since September, the staff team have continued to work extremely hard to develop our Harlow Green offer, so that children have more to engage with, beyond their lessons. Over the last fifteen weeks, there has been a vast array of visits and visitors to enhance the curriculum, varied whole school events to create interest and enthusiasm for different aspects, and a huge number of clubs offered to support physical and emotional health as well as to tap into the talents of our wonderful children.
The support from families is a significant strength of our school. During the consistent challenges that life throws out, family members encouraging children to attend school every day, whilst supporting children at home with an understanding of hard work, resilience, respect and kindness, provides the positive foundations for success at school.
We very much hope that those who were able to attend the Christmas performances enjoyed sharing in the magical experience that is unique to being a child, and which we know is all too fleeting. Over the last two weeks, children have relished in Christmas lunch, nativity performances or carol services, a music workshop, pantomimes, and parties – all of which are an essential part of our British culture that makes this such a wonderful heart-warming time.
On behalf of the staff and governors, I would like to thank you for all your support and dedication to our community. We look forward to seeing you all in the new year when we will look to further develop our provision for the benefit of each and every child. In the meantime, please enjoy a Christmas eCard from us all!
