In Reception this week, we have been exploring ways of transport.
We started the week by reading ‘The Bus is for Us’ by Michael Rosen and discussed types of transport we are familiar with. We also discovered ways of transport that were unknown to us, such as trams, unicycles and a hovercraft. We shared pictures of ourselves on a range of vehicles, such as aeroplanes, boats and even motorbikes.
Throughout the week, we had a go at constructing and creating our own vehicles, some painted cars while others crafted buses and hot air balloons in the cut and stick area. Outside, we conducted our own traffic surgery, keeping a tally of what vehicles went by. We enjoyed watching as all different types of vehicles whizzed by.
