It has been a very busy exciting week of sport at Harlow Green.
On Monday, our year 5/6 Hockey team took part in the Gateshead Finals which was held at Whickham School. There were 7 schools there who qualified for the finals and our school played outstandingly, winning every single game – crowned champions of Gateshead. This is the first time we have won this competition we will now represent Gateshead at the County finals on Tuesday.
Yesterday afternoon, 3 of our Year 3/4 Hockey teams took part in the Gateshead SSP Hockey tournament which was held at Lord Lawson School. There were 28 teams who took part and all of our 3 teams played really well – with one of our teams winning the whole competition – a fantastic achievement.
Finally, after school on Thursday, our girls’ football team took part in the Felling Schools FA Girls’ Football final after they won their group a couple of weeks ago. Five schools reached the final and everyone played each other – with out girls again winning every single game, never conceded a single goal. Crowned champions – they retained the trophy for a second year in a row.
Well done everyone we are very proud of all our children !
