After having to wait for a week because of their postponed final league match of the season, the Harlow Green Year 5/6 football team, eventually had the chance to put all their efforts into action, leading to a win which was like winning a cup final.
There was a positive energy as the children warmed up on Thursday knowing that the outcome of the league was in their hands. Over the game, every player showed dedication, determination and teamwork, leaving everything on the pitch.
There was some outstanding moments throughout whether that was in the shape of saves, tackles, passes, taking players on, and of course the one goal that decided the outcome.
The children were hugely proud of themselves for how they played, as were the staff and parents/carers. This was not about one match though; this was the culmination of a full season of hard work and enthusiasm.
Well done Harlow Green!
