The end of SATs week brings a mixture of emotions – I think relief being the main one from the children, but for the teachers it is one of pride at how hard the children have tried and how resilient they have been even if they have found some aspects of the test difficult.

This afternoon, we have been able to celebrate finishing the SATs. The sun came out and the children have had an afternoon playing, drawing, making bracelets and generally being able to switch off. All this, whilst enjoying packed lunches, pizzas, curly fries, ice-creams and Mrs Jennings’ legendary SATs cakes.

We know that many children, despite our best efforts, have felt a little bit stressed this week and it has been lovely to see them being able to relax and have fun – the way kids should!
