On Friday 14th June, Nursery and the Harlow Green Toddler Group took part in ‘The Barnardo’s Big Toddle’.
The Barnardo’s Big Toddle has become some what of a tradition for our Harlow Green Community. We have been taking part for 4 years now, and we always manage to raise a little money for a turtle-y awesome cause. The Big Toddle is a short, 1 mile, sponsored walk for under 5’s to raise money for vulnerable children and young people through the charity Barnardo’s.
We toddled together on a totally paw-some adventure around our Harlow Green School grounds, watching out for safari animals along the way! We had a celebration ceremony for all the children who took part, they each received a medal and certificate for all of their hard work toddling. Due to the wet weather, we had a change to our plans and ended the morning with a delicious picnic in the school hall.
All of the Nursery Team would like to say one big THANK YOU to everyone who took part and made the event possible for all of the children. Despite the rain, everyone had a huge smile on their faces and lots of fun was had by all. We are also incredibly grateful for all of the donations. This will go towards making a huge difference to the many children and young people who are supported by Barnardo’s.
We raised an INCREDIBLE…
