Investigating Light and Reflection

Over the past few weeks, Year 3 have been hard at work learning all about light during their science lessons. They began with a blind fold challenge to understand the importance of light.  As part of their job, they investigated which materials would be the most reflective – perfect for designing a safer school bag for dark mornings and evenings. They first made their own predictions, carefully thinking about which material would be best. They then carried out a fair test using torches to see which material reflected the most light. Finally they wrote up their conclusion, with many of them finding that the silver cloth and foil were best material overall.
