Marvellous Maths

This week in Reception, we have been honing our counting skills by practising counting with dice.

The children focused on recognising numbers quickly by observing the patterns of dots and identifying small amounts without the need for counting. A particular highlight of our week was playing Teddy Bear Bingo. In this delightful game, the children worked alongside an adult to match the dots on their dice with those on their bear boards. Everyone enjoyed taking turns and celebrating the winners, which helped to foster a sense of community and collaboration in our learning environment. What a fun way to develop essential maths skills!
