Nursery Play the Forest School Way

This week the Nursery children had their first Forest School session. Miss Rowe was so impressed with how well they sat and listened in class and had a very lively discussion about what our school rules Ready, Respectful and Safe look like in the Forest School. Then we headed out onto the woods. We played some boundary setting games, these help the children to understand when they need to stop what they are doing and come to the teacher and where they can play in any particular session. They were very impressive and because they demonstrated how well they could follow instructions they were then given the freedom to practice some of their climbing skills and they got to meet the hens up close. We are looking forward to a fun year of forest based fun.
