Year 1 got creative this week, Journey Sticks are a lovely way of encouraging the children to observe the changes in nature around them. They can be made at any time of the year and as well as helping the children to develop their fine motor skills give them a lovely memento of their Forest School session. Winding the wool around and around and then off to collect precious things to decorate. One of the children took the photographs today and managed to get plenty of Mr Mcmann and the leaf collection team who are working hard to fill our mulchers.
The Nature Principle: Forest School takes place in a woodland or natural wooded environment to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.
Article 29: We all have the right to develop or personalities, talents and abilities.
